MEF16 Networking Event Launches With More Than 25 Initial Service Provider & Technology Vendor Sponsors

Focused On Dynamic, Assured & Orchestrated “Third Network” Services Powered By CE 2.0, LSO, SDN & NFV.

The MEF has announced the first set of participating sponsors at the MEF16 global networking conference to be held during 7-10 November 2016 at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Hotel. With a target audience of 1,200+ attendees from more than 300 organizations and 35+ countries, MEF16 is the annual networking event for executives and other senior professionals involved in the Carrier Ethernet and burgeoning Third Network services & technology ecosystem. Building on the success of the GEN14 & GEN15, the name was changed in January from GEN16 to MEF16 (http://mef16.com/) to better reflect the MEF’s leadership role in driving industry transformation.

“We are excited by the excellent support MEF16 has received from service and technology companies looking to speed the shift to dynamic, assured, and orchestrated “Third Network” services optimized for the hyper-connected world,” said Kevin Vachon, COO of the MEF. “Just over the horizon, we can envision a growing number of game-changing services being delivered over automated, virtualized, and interconnected networks powered by Carrier Ethernet 2.0, LSO (Lifecycle Service Orchestration), SDN, and NFV. MEF16 will present a roadmap for how we get there and demonstrate the type of innovations we can expect along the way.”
